  There are lovely places to camp up here. I visited in early May which is still the off season so I don't know what things are like during the summertime. Much wildlife, much solitude. If your vehicle is up to the dirt roads you can get to some great and inexpensive camping. There are downsides: outside of the tourist season you may find things closed, the well water at the campgrounds was very rusty probably because I was the first to use the pump for many months, you do need to be careful of waking wildlife, stick to the main roads unless you know what you're doing. The biggest downside? There are only two places I could find in the area where you could reliably get to Lake Superior without trespassing, they are far apart. But it still gets four stars because there are places of great beauty that you can enjoy with no distractions.
